It was this advice from his father, a tailor by trade, that guided Roland Chelly in 1989. His idea was bold, almost visionary: to elevate the T-shirt to the status of a noble, luxurious garment. In a world where fashion often tends towards uniformity, Majestic Filatures set itself apart from the start with a clear ambition: to make the premium universe accessible to all. This desire to break with convention soon caught the attention of Joseph Tricot, a key partner who placed its trust in Roland Chelly from the outset.
Together, they have built a partnership spanning more than three decades, focusing on excellence and uniqueness, to offer pieces that transcend the simple garment.Majestic Filatures is not just a brand. Originally, cotton reigned supreme in the Majestic Filatures collections. But over the seasons, this timeless weave has evolved. The brand's designer has enriched this palette by adding noble, natural fibres: the enveloping softness of wool and cashmere, the lightness of linen, and the incomparable fluidity of viscose. Each garment becomes a unique piece, both noble and innovative, caressing the skin with unequalled softness.
This responsible approach is very important to us. From the outset, we have manufactured exclusively in France and Europe, with the exception of cashmeres, which come from Mongolia. This departure from our approach is largely justified by the quality of the product and the ethics of the supplier, chosen by Majestic Filatures, particularly in terms of respect for the herds.
